Which is the Best Packaging Design for Product Label or Customer?

Singles are individually cut and normally ordered in quantities below 250. You can print at least 25 singles packaging labels. This is recommended for applications done by hand. There are four standard shapes: square, rectangle, oval, and circle —all available for singles and roll labels. The singles format offers other alternative shapes for out-of-the-box brands: hexagon and arch for a typography-based look or starburst and heart for a custom design.

Roll labels are ordered in quantities of at least 250 pieces. One roll fits a standard-sized automated label dispenser. This is ideal for the fast and easy application on hundreds to thousands of items. Custom shapes are accommodated for roll labels. After selecting “Custom”, you can combine your preferred width and height on the online calculator.

How to design your own packaging labels

Keep it on brand

Consistency is key when it comes to branding. Your packaging labels should align with your overall brand identity, including your logo, color scheme, fonts, and brand voice. Think of it like this: your audience should be able to recognize your label and instantly associate it with your brand.

Decide on the shape

Labels come in a wide range of shapes and sizes, so choose one that complements your product and its packaging, and aligns with your brand image. Standard shapes for packaging labels include rectangle, square, round, and oval. But there’s nothing stopping you from going for custom shapes! Unique, cut-to-size labels can add a sense of fun, playfulness, and creativity – if these are qualities that resonate with your brand, then get experimental!

Research your target audience and competitors

Start by spending some time researching your target audience. You’ve likely already got a pretty good idea of who they are and what they like, but dig deeper to identify current trends and preferences. You could even host a focus group or share an online survey to learn what they’d find most helpful and most visually appealing. Then turn your attention to your competitors.

Use an online design tool for a professional-looking label
